Client’s Repaired Peridot Ring

One of our clients recently visited us with a very well loved and worn out three stone ring (one stone missing due to multiple damaged claws). This ring is a family heirloom and has been passed down through three generations, a beautiful sentimental piece that is worth restoring to its former glory.

The remaining side stone was not a colour match to the centre stone, so after consultation with the client we sourced a pair of matching Peridots to be set either side of the original centre stone.

After the stones were carefully measure, three new claw settings were handmade and hand carved by Eleanor in the same style as the original settings.

The three new settings were then soldered together and fit to the clients original ring shank. The ring required a final polish before the Peridots could be claw set into the settings.

And just like magic our client as a beautiful ‘new’ ring that has had its strength and durability restored to it. A ring that can now be worn every day for many years to come and keep the memory of her grandmother alive.

Contact us today to learn more about this fascinating gemstone and once lockdown is over we invite you to make an appointment to visit our showroom and have a look at the variety of loose Peridot we currently have in stock.
