Meet our Staff
Our showroom and workshop has been located in the heart of Melbourne since 1875. Originally operating as manufacturers and wholesalers to the retail trade throughout Australia, the business now caters for the individual needs of those interested in purchasing high quality jewellery.
Clients are offered the opportunity to discuss their requirements with highly qualified designer jewellers, diamond technologists, gemmologists and registered valuers.
Greg John, began making jewellery as an apprentice over 50 years ago. His ability to design, sketch and manufacture superb jewellery is legendary.
Leon Corn, son-in-law of third generation Noel Abrecht, has been a lecturer in diamond technology, past president of the Gemmological Association of Australia, a registered valuer and served on the committee of the Jewellers Association of Australia for decades.
Stephanie’s helpful and friendly personality as well as a love of jewellery and diamonds, has led her into the jewellery industry since 2014.
Jeweller Eleanor Hawke has been a manufacturing jeweller since 2016, winner of multiple awards for her excellent craftsmanship, Eleanor’s natural talent will surely blossom here at Abrecht Bird.
Jeweller Yuki Mathwin has been a manufacturing jeweller since 2017. The newest team member to our workshop, she has a love of jewellery and creating unique pieces and this has seen her win multiple awards.
