Abrecht Bird hinged ring system

Abrecht Bird hinged ring system

Since its invention in 1964, the Abrecht Hinge Ring system has allowed thousands of people to wear their rings again.

Why the Abrecht Bird hinged ring system?

The device was specifically developed for those who suffer from arthritis or swollen knuckles. The process involves the insertion of a rivet-based hinge on one side of the ring that allows the shank to swing open at the base. Once the ring is placed behind the knuckle, the shank is shut and secured on the opposite side of the band by tension and the added security of a safety latch. You can watch the video on how the hinge operates here.

Can the hinge only be added to new rings?

The Abrecht Hinge Ring System can be fitted to new or existing rings. It does depend on the design so an appointment to discuss and view your items is essential. Contact us for more information here
